Nerja, a small coastal town near Malaga known for its stunning beaches, historic charm, natural beauty and mountainous environment.

One of the highlights of Nerja is the Balcón de Europa, or the Balcony of Europe. It is a viewpoint located on a rocky cape and offers panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding beaches. The area around the Balcón de Europa is lined with restaurants, cafes, and shops.
If you choose Nerja as relaxing holidays spot as we did, but would like to explore a bit more of Spain – close destination is widely popular (and not without a reason) Caminito Del Rey – 1,5 hour drive to get to very impressive landmark. It offers guided tours, but keep in mind to have your tickets booked in advance (we booked 1 month ahead) as it is very popular!
With all that and the beaches, beautiful old town, cafes, great weather and fact that it is short distance to Malaga for a day trip – Nerja is a great choice to relax while exploring south of Spain.
